Nobu Hotels: Robert DeNiro’s idea set for global expansion

Nobu Matsuhisa operates 28 acclaimed restaurants in 32 cities. When his partner Robert DeNiro suggested they open their own hotel rather than operate restaurants in other people’s hotels, Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace was born.

But what’s happened in Las Vegas is not going to ‘stay in Vegas’. Six more Nobu hotels are on the horizon, with the first up including Manila, Riyadh and Eden Roc Miami Beach.

In this video, the master chef responsible for the global sushi empire, Nobu, talks to Bloomberg’s Manus Cranny on the highs and lows of his restaurant career, as well as his recent expansion into the hotel sector.
