The Master Innholder Scholarship Programme – only three weeks left to apply

There is less than a month to apply for a place on the Master Innholder Scholarship programme.

The programme is open to all general managers and heads of department in the UK hospitality industry whether they work in a large 5-star city hotel, a small provincial property or a boutique B&B.

Emma Rathbone, Deputy Value Centre General Manager, Thistle Marble Arch Hotel won a scholarship in 2014 and says she was thrilled to gain such a rare opportunity, “I have been given career development leading to a promotion from my previous role. The commercial knowledge and the key development learnings since gaining the scholarship will stay with me for many more years to come, and I would encourage other hoteliers to put themselves forward for this special lifelong experience.”

Applications must be received by July 17 to be considered for this career enhancing opportunity. There are three fully funded course options to choose from.

The Lausanne Executive Education Programme held at the École Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland runs over 12 days and successful applicants will learn from highly qualified module leaders about the market’s evolution and participants’ future challenges.

The Cranfield Talent Development Programme develops fast-track managers early in their careers and enables them to make wider more credible business contributions. Held at Cranfield University, a world-leader in management studies, it challenges participants to develop greater managerial visibility, credibility and maturity.

The General Managers Programme at Cornell University is for managers seeking specific and workable solutions to real-world, real-time demands and brings a worldwide perspective to the table. The course is designed to mould decision-makers into strategic thinkers, expand their knowledge, broaden their viewpoint and produce new solutions to the challenges they face.

Created in 1997, over 220 people have successfully completed the Master Innholder Scholarship programme with thanks to funding from the Worshipful Company of Innholders, the Savoy Educational Trust and the Lord Forte Foundation.
