How do you turn a negative into a positive?

With the deadline looming for US citizens to file their federal income tax returns, eight Washington DC hotels have banded together to launch a "Many Happy Returns" promotion.

The JW Marriott, Renaissance and Marriott hotels of Washington, DC are offering one more attractive deduction to consider. Guests who book April 10, 2014 through April 17, 2014 (filing deadline is April 15) will receive 25% off best available weekend rates for stays May 2 through September 9, 2014.

Honourable Mention

On Monday 7 April from 11am Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan offered a free lunch to the taxi drivers in the capital city.

The newly opened hotel gave away over 200 freshly cooked meals. The Executive chef Mr. Akil Ahmed devised the menu and he was on hand to distribute the first meal on the day. Taxi drivers enjoyed a Chicken Biriyani, raita and juice, as well as a hard earned lunch break.

General Manager Dominique Mercier said ‘taxi drivers play a very important part in the functionality of the city ensuring that tourists get from the airport to their required destinations. This is our way of giving something back and showing our appreciation for all of their hard work.'
