The Taj Group is to expand its Middle East portfolio with the opening of a new hotel in Dubai. Taj Downtown Dubai will open in the prestigious Burj Khalifa Downtown area in December 2014.
Surrounded by architectural landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and Business Bay; the new hotel will have 296 guestrooms, including Taj Club rooms, 20 junior suites and 14 luxury suites. Two lavishly decorated themed suites on the top floors – The Tata Suite and The Maharaja Suite – will have their own private dining and living areas with panoramic views over the Downtown area.
With seven food and beverage outlets, Taj Downtown Dubai will provide exceptional and varied dining experiences ranging from Indian to Peruvian fare. The restaurants will cater for business lunches, afternoon tea, cocktails and sheesha in the evenings, as well as á la carte dinners.
With the opening of Taj Downtown Dubai, the Group will introduce its exclusive members’ only business club, ‘Chambers’, for the first time in the international market. Chambers at Taj Dubai will offer a range of facilities and privileges for its members.
Taj Downtown Dubai will offer the Kids@Taj program, providing customised activities and amenities for children. The hotel will also feature a fitness centre and Jiva Spa, where guests can enjoy a range of signature Jiva treatments, inspired by traditional Indian therapies.
The launch of Taj Downtown Dubai in the region’s economic, financial and tourism hub will play a key role in expanding the Taj Group in the Middle East. The group aims to establish the hotel as the leading luxury hotel for business and leisure in the region.
