SONIFI continues to see significant adoption of their newest product, SoniCast – powered by Chromecast. SoniCast expands guest entertainment options by empowering guests to cast content from 1000+ apps seamlessly from their own iOS or Android mobile device to the in-room TV.
Over the past 8 months, guests have been able to enjoy SoniCast in over 7,000 rooms throughout the United States and Canada, with new hotels being installed each day. Guests at these properties have taken full advantage of the selection of apps that are provided by the Chromecast ecosystem and have cast content from over 150 unique apps. These over-the-top (OTT) apps include subscription-based entertainment, cable and broadcast channels, music, productivity applications (e.g. presentations), personal and user shared content, and foreign language channels. Participating guests cast an average of 3.4 times per stay for a duration of one hour each time.
