Restel launches new online booking site by MediaConcepts

restel-logo1MediaConcepts, a provider of integrated digital solutions for the hospitality industry, has announced the launch of a new online booking website for Restel.

Optimised for all devices, the responsive site uses MediaConcepts’ Jasmine Booking and integrates with Restel’s property management system (PMS). This allows users to search for rates and availability in real-time, and sends bookings directly to Restel’s PMS. In addition, the site offers a quick (but optional) online profile creation process which gives users access to their current and previous bookings, and makes it even faster for them to make future bookings.

Visitors to Restel’s new booking website can expect:

  • A fast loading, intuitive interface.
  • Clear imagery and descriptions.
  • Flexible search options with calendar views.
  • Simple steps to make single and multiple room bookings.
  • A recommendation engine that offers room upgrade and add-on purchase options.
  • An integrated payment gateway.
  • Currency conversion.
  • Pre-arrival online check-in and more.

Restel’s new booking website also allows its corporate clients and travel partners to access and book negotiated rates. A customised portal will give Restel’s corporate clients a secure area to manage their travellers’ profiles, bookings (individual and event/group), as well as access reports on travel patterns.

“Our goal is to give our guests the best possible booking experience on our own website,” said Anni Kallioniemi, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations & CCO of Restel. “Taking our guests’ booking behaviour, as well as global best practices into consideration, we worked with MediaConcepts to develop something we believe has achieved that. Even then, we already have plans to allow guests to further customise their stay when they book directly with us. MediaConcepts’ expertise in this area has been really valuable and we look forward to our continual partnership.”

“The challenge for most hotels is getting guests to book directly. Competitive pricing aside, your booking experience can make a big difference in whether they stay on your site or go elsewhere,” said John Bowen, Founder and CEO of MediaConcepts. “We are honoured and excited to be working with Restel in their journey to create that perfect booking experience for their guests.”

The fully customised solution was designed and developed to not only improve the direct booking experience for Restel’s guests, but to also help increase Restel’s online revenue without any transaction or commission fees.
