Henk Meyknecht appointed Senior Vice President, Regional Operations for the Middle East and Africa with Kempinski Hotels

Henk MeyknechtHenk Meyknecht has been appointed Kempinski Hotels’ Senior Vice President, Regional Operations for the Middle East and Africa. A hotelier with more than 30 years’ experience, Dutch national Henk speaks fluent Dutch, German and English, is a graduate of Maastricht Hotel School in the Netherlands and has a Marketing Degree from Cornell University and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Hong Kong.

He has worked extensively in the Middle East region having spent time in Kuwait, Bahrain and, with Kempinski in Jordan overseeing the 3 hotels. He has also worked throughout China and Asia, with his most recent posting being at the Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai.

Commenting on his appointment, Meyknecht said: “I am excited to be back in this dynamic region where Kempinski is growing its portfolio of hotels. I’m looking forward to visiting all of our hotels and owners and to supporting the opening of our new properties in Al Khobar, Beirut and Muscat.”
