Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha has announced the appointment of Samer Kheir, to hotel manager. Kheir has 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry, spanning across Lebanon, Oman, and Qatar. In his new role, Kheir will oversee daily operations, with a strong focus on elevating service quality, optimising guest satisfaction and fostering team development.
Prior to the promotion, Kheir held a key leadership role as director of operations, and director of finance at Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha. In this role, Kheir was instrumental in helping Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha earn the title of ‘Best Luxury Business Hotel in the Middle East and North Africa’ at the 2019 World Luxury Hotel Awards, ‘Qatar’s Leading Airport Hotel’ at the 2022, 2023 and 2024 World Travel Middle East Awards, and ‘Editor’s Choice Sustainable Hotel Excellence’ at the 2024 LLQ Lifestyle Awards. During his time at Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha, Kheir also managed high profile operations, including catering for 8,000 guests during the FIFA World Cup 2022 VIP pop-up in collaboration with Qatar Airways.
Throughout his career Kheir has consistently driven year-on-year improvements in guest satisfaction scores, launched innovative F&B concepts, and overseen successful hotel openings and rebranding projects.
As hotel manager, Kheir will guide the development and execution of financial and operational strategies, ensuring seamless collaboration with suppliers, travel partners and event planners, to drive revenue growth through strategic marketing and promotional initiatives.
