He will also manage a staff of more than 650 employees who service the 431-room hotel, as well as The Sports Club, a private membership experience at the Resort.

“I feel great about the challenges that await me here with new ownership focused on repositioning the property,” says Burghartz.  “Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas has great bones and a remarkable team that has one of the most tenured staff in the company. I could tell at once I was going to have a lot of fun working here.”

Currently the second largest Four Seasons hotel, the Dallas Resort is located a short drive from the buzzing metropolitan downtown, as well as DFW Airport, the fourth busiest airport in the world.  The 400-acre (160 hectare) property is surrounded by the scenic vistas of Las Colinas, two award-winning golf courses, and is centrally located to most of the key tourist attractions such as the Dallas Arts District, AT&T Stadium, the George W. Bush Presidential Library and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.  The Resort’s extensive menu of offerings includes more than 34,000 square feet (3,160 square metres) of meeting and event facilities, four pools, 12,000 square foot (1,115 square metre) full-service Spa & Salon, 176,000 square foot (16,350 square metre)  fitness facility, two golf courses, 12 tennis courts and an array of other sports and leisure options for active individuals of all ages.

As Burghartz begins his role as General Manager, the property is well underway with a multi-million dollar renovation of its fitness facilities and wellness programming partnership with Well & Being. Over the next few years, he will oversee renovation projects throughout the property including the conference centre, three suites, Resort pool and deck, Club restaurant and patio, as well as the main hotel lobby.
