Amanda Ridout named Regional Sales Managerat IDM Hospitality

Àmanda Ridout_1IDM Hospitality Management, a hotel management and development firm headquartered in Madison, Wis. overseeing independent properties around the Midwest, named Amanda Ridout regional sales manager, a newly created position within the firm.

Ridout, a graduate of St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn., has seven years of experience in the hospitality industry and has been with IDM since 2011. She previously served as  sales manager at HotelRED in Madison, Wis., and most recently as the general manager at The Plaza Hotel, Milwaukee, both IDM-managed properties. Ridout will play a role in new business development and will also assist the sales teams at the firm’s managed properties in growing corporate and association meetings, events and guest room bookings.

IDM’s director of operations, Becky Rogers, noted this was a much-anticipated personnel move for the firm. “Finding a candidate who understands the power and importance of sales, is familiar with the properties within our portfolio, and who has excellent communication skills makes Amanda uniquely qualified for this role,” said Rogers. “We expect this position to have an immediate effect on our 2015 results.”

IDM specializes in hotel management for both planned and existing hotels as well as market analysis, property development, acquisition, and repositioning, with an emphasis on independent and boutique hotels. Other hotels in its portfolio include the Jefferson Street Inn in Wausau, Wis.; Hotel Julien Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa; Hotel Marshfield in Marshfield, Wis.; Edgewater Resort in Ephraim, Wis.; and the under-development Hotel Vandivort in Springfield, Mo.
