Patrick Andres named Regional VP at new Duetto Asia Pacific HQ

Patrick Andres_1Duetto, a specialist in hotel profit optimization software, announced the opening of a Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, along with the appointment of Patrick Andres as Regional Vice-President, and Amanda See as Vice President of Sales.

Hospitality leader, Lee Pillsbury, said the move validates growing demand for Duetto’s technology in Asia-Pacific markets, and the ability of the company to scale quickly in the region. Pillsbury is a Duetto Board Member, the Founder of Thayer Ventures and Thayer Lodging, and a pioneer in creating synergies between emerging Asian hotel companies and American technology leaders.

He said, “Duetto’s entry into the Asia-Pacific markets could not be better timed, or more urgently needed.” He concluded, “As hotel owners in the region continue to build out their business operations and create pricing strategies, they are interested in adopting best in class solutions in Revenue Strategy and related areas of marketing and distribution. Duetto’s breakthrough technologies will accelerate this process and help hotels keep up with the urgent need for innovation and forward-looking solutions.”

Pillsbury has played a major role in the launch of more 15 new companies, including internet services provider TIG Global and Chinese central reservations system innovator HUBS1. As CEO of Thayer Lodging, he executed a $200 million joint venture agreement with Jin Jiang Corporation of China, eventuating in the acquisition of Interstate Hotels and Resorts, the largest independent hotel and resort operator in the world.

Last week, Duetto announced the opening of its EMEA headquarters office in London. In July, the company announced a $21 million funding led by Accel Partners to continue its expansion into key markets around the globe.

About Patrick Andres 

Patrick Andres is a veteran of the Asia-Pacific hospitality technology space, whose management positions include hotel sales, hospitality automation and electronic distribution. He most recently served as the Asia-Pacific Vice President and Managing Director for Travelport, a leading GDS vendor. Prior to that, he built and ran regional operations for Sabre Hospitality Solutions, which provides hotel marketing and distribution services. In that role, he oversaw the company’s expansion to Japan, China, India, South-East Asia and the Pacific. Before Sabre, Andres oversaw Asia for Micros-Fidelio, opening both its Hong Kong and Singapore offices; and served as Director of Business Development for Expedia Travel, with a focus on building and implementing Direct-Connect interfaces between hotel reservation systems and the Expedia family of sites. He also worked for SAP and IATA.

Andres is a graduate of one of Canada’s leading hotel schools, received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa and is a frequent speaker at industry events throughout Asia.

About Amanda See 

Amanda See has close to two decades of experience in channel distribution, marketing, revenue strategy, event and conference sales, and hotel operations. In her new role at Duetto, Amanda See will spearhead business development initiatives for in the Asia Pacific region.  

See was most recently the Senior Director of Business Development for Sabre Hospitality. Working with Patrick Andres, she propelled the growth of the company’s regional operation, and maintained customer relationships and partnerships. She specializes in supporting partners in the optimization of their online distribution, marketing, representation and revenue strategies.  

See holds a master’s degree in business administration from University of South Australia and also a Board Member for HSMAI Asia Pacific Chapter.
