Radisson signs new-build hotel in Chicago suburb

Radisson has announced the signing of the Radisson Hotel Schaumburg, which will be located at 1998 North Roselle Road. The brand new construction hotel will offer 137 guestrooms and will open in August of 2015.

“The signing of the Radisson Hotel Schaumburg demonstrates our desire to continue enhancing the brand’s portfolio, and further expand our presence in the Chicagoland market,” said Javier Rosenberg, chief operating officer, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Americas. “The village of Schaumburg is an important regional commercial and retail hub, and further enhances the presence of our brands in the state of Illinois.  We look forward to sharing our ‘Yes I Can!’ service spirit with both business and leisure travelers here.”

Swift Hospitality has been working with the village to develop the hotel for several years, and presided over a groundbreaking ceremony in July.

“We are excited to see this project come to life, and thrilled to continue our strong relationship with Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group,” said Dave Swift, the hotel’s owner. “We can’t imagine a more fitting brand than Radisson to embody this key Schaumburg location.”
