Regent Porto Montenegro celebrates Grand Opening

Regent Porto Montenegro, a glittering new star of the Adriatic coast, marked its Grand Opening on August 27, 2014 with a spectacular Gala. The Grand Opening Gala was attended by dignitaries including The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milo ?ukanovi?; Executive Chairman of Regent Hotels & Resorts, Steven Pan; and 650 special guests including residents of Porto Montenegro and VIPs from Europe, North America and Asia.

Regent Porto Montenegro is an 86 guest room and residence deluxe property with three dining options and a signature Regent Spa that commands an unrivalled waterfront position at the 250-berth super yacht marina of Porto Montenegro on Boka Bay.

Regent Porto Montenegro Grand Opening

Dignitaries, investors, media and celebrities gathered to celebrate the official opening of the property that has placed Montenegro on the world map. Steven Pan, Executive Chairman of Regent Hotels & Resorts led The Grand Opening with a warm welcome to guests, including primary visionary Peter Munk, whose unwavering support for the project has seen it come to fruition.

Mr Pan stated: “The story began years ago when our President, Ralf Ohletz met Oliver Corlette, CEO of Porto Montenegro in a development forum and they shared an exciting vision for Montenegro, a hotel and residences. More importantly, he presented the vision of Peter Munk for this entire nation: to create an iconic destination that would one day rival the best of the Mediterranean, if not Europe.”

A ribbon cutting concluded the ceremonial part of the evening which was followed by a spectacular celebration: award-winning classical guitarist and exclusive Deutsche Grammophon recording artist Milos Karadaglic of Montenegro provided stylish entertainment, and a live performance by renowned Serbian singer Aleksandra Radovic brought the evening to a suitably glittering close.
