“We wanted to create something unique for guests in Taos. A place that celebrates the remarkable women artists that Taos is so well known for,”explains Adriana Long, Interior Designer, Heritage Hotels & Resorts. Long has been collecting pieces for the new property for over a year and is excited to be able to showcase the new tribute inn. “We’ve created a luxury retreat, that blends original art, southwestern culture, contemporary design and modern accommodations in one of the most beautiful mountain havens in the country.”
The historic inn is a short 6-block walk from Taos Plaza.Since the area is well known for Taos Mountain and the Rio Grande Gorge, the new inn offers outdoor enthusiasts a new venue option.
“Taos is known for it’s art galleries but also it’s a must-see destination for year-round outdoor recreation including world-class skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, white-water rafting, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking and horseback riding. Palacio de Marquesa offers a tranquil retreat from the summer heat and is a perfect winter hideaway with easy access to Taos Ski Valley and cozy fireplaces in each room,” states Chad Ozment, resident general manger, Palacio de Marquesa.
Palacio de Marquesa is a part of the 8-property collection of culturally distinct hotels in New Mexico, managed by Heritage Hotels and Resorts.
