Quest Melbourne Airport to open in October

Just minutes from the airport terminals and business precinct, Quest Melbourne Airport is on track to open this October, with bookings coming in steadily since reservations opened in May.

Quest CEO, Zed Sanjana is pleased at how quickly things have progressed onsite and is looking forward to opening the property’s doors in October.

“There is significant demand for quality corporate accommodation in the airport’s business precinct. It has been very exciting to see such a positive response to the new property, with an influx of bookings coming in since May,” said Mr Sanjana.

“The response isn’t surprising with 31 million people passing through the airport annually; a number that is set to double over the next two decades as Melbourne Airport expands. About 200 businesses currently operate in the airport precinct, providing upwards of 14,000 jobs. By 2033, around 23,000 jobs will be directly related to airport operations,” Mr Sanjana added.

Melbourne Airport CEO, Chris Woodruff said the new Quest property would be an ideal option for both the corporate and the leisure traveller requiring accommodation within close proximity to the domestic and international terminals, in addition to the Melbourne Airport Business Park.

“The entrance of high quality serviced accommodation provider, Quest Serviced Apartments, to the airport precinct will provide a significant boost and encourage the continued growth of business in the local area,” said Mr Woodruff.

“We are very pleased Quest made the decision to invest in the airport precinct and look forward to welcoming the team at Quest Melbourne Airport,” Mr Woodruff concluded.

Located in the Melbourne Airport Business Park, on the corner of South Centre Road and Annandale Road, the brand new Quest property is being constructed by Merkon Constructions and will feature 96 studio, one, two and three bedroom serviced apartments.

Designed by Fenton Design Group, Quest Melbourne Airport will boast five levels of contemporary furnishings, modern conference facilities, an onsite gym and alfresco dining area.

The property will offer fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities, LCD TVs, Foxtel and Wi-Fi, in addition to Quest services such as pantry shopping, dry cleaning, restaurant chargeback and business administration.

Quest Melbourne Airport is one of ten new Quest properties to open this financial year across a range of CBD, suburban and regional locations, including Woolloongabba (QLD), Berrimah (NT), Wellington (New Zealand), Townsville (QLD), Newcastle West (NSW), Liverpool (NSW), Kelvin Grove (QLD), Chermside (QLD), Toowoomba (QLD), and the recently opened King William South (SA) property.
