Waldorf Astoria Orlando goes paperless with digital menus at Bull & Bear restaurant

Guests of the Bull & Bear restaurant at Waldorf Astoria Orlando will now enjoy viewing the selection of culinary treasures and extended wine list on iPad menus, omitting the use of paper and adding to a more sustainable environment. Working together with Uptown Network, all Bull & Bear menus will be featured on an iPad for customers to enjoy.

We are excited to have our menus come to life with this paperless new dining amenity,” said Manny Belete, general manager, Bull & Bear restaurant at Waldorf Astoria Orlando. “Through this offering we bring our menu to life with stunning images of our Chef’s creations. As Central Florida’s landmark luxury hotel for the sophisticated traveler, this is one more example of our leadership in providing world class amenities for guests.”

Appetizers, entrees, the extensive wine list, after dinner drinks, and desserts are all beautifully displayed on the digital menu. Guests can see photography of their dining selections before they order, wines are perfectly paired and the dessert menu looks delicious and inviting.

In addition to the delight of guests, this is also a large commitment to sustainability as all paper menus are being eliminated. Hilton Worldwide is committed to Travel with Purpose as a business imperative.

“Five years from now, it will be hard to find a paper menu in a restaurant,” said Jack Serfass, CEO of Uptown Network. “It’s just a matter of time. The customer service, operational and financial benefits are so substantial that it is becoming obvious to the industry.”

“Digital menus give us the opportunity to take our level of service even higher,” said Belete. “These mobile, interactive menus are more engaging and complement the Bull & Bear dining experience.”

Waldorf Astoria Orlando can now share the brand of their Bull & Bear restaurant through the Apple iTunes Store. Anyone with an iPad or iPad mini can download their menu for free and explore before they arrive on property.

“Our clientele is increasingly mobile and we feel it is important to provide an app that aligns with our guests’ evolving lifestyle,” said Francis Metais, director of food and beverage at Waldorf Astoria Orlando. “This combination provides an unparalleled overall experience.”
