Andrew Abram first General Manager at Niccolo Hotels

Niccolo Hotels, a new evolution to luxury for the Marco Polo portfolio, was
launched on 7 July with Andrew Abram as the brand’s first General Manager. The first hotel under the new Niccolo brand is Niccolo Chengdu, where Abram took up the post earlier this year to establish the new brand’s personality and standards – taking it to the highest levels of hospitality. The inaugural Niccolo Hotel will open in early 2015 within the upscale International Finance Square (IFS) Chengdu in China’s Sichuan province.

Originally from Scotland, Abram brings over 20 years of international hotel industry
experience in managing luxury properties in addition to a celebrated marketing background.

With over 10 years of General Management leadership with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group coupled with 14 years of sales and marketing experience, culminating in the launch of the Jumeirah International brand, Abram is ideally qualified to understand and deliver all that is required for the launch of a new luxury brand.

“The launch of the Niccolo brand will present many opportunities not least with our first
property in Chengdu; to be part of the IFS family provides a very strong foundation to secure our market position quickly while establishing the brand for future growth” said Abram. “Our success, however, will be the result of our people and how we immerse our guests in New Encounters and Timeless Pleasures.”
