Cypress Inn announced the appointment of Crystal Petersson as General Manager of the iconic 1920 historic landmark. Petersson will be responsible for all aspects of daily operations and leadership management of the 44-guestroom property co-owned by legendary Hollywood actor and animal rights enthusiast Doris Day. Key duties include overseeing all marketing/branding initiatives, food & beverage operations and driving group and leisure sales efforts..
Petersson joins Cypress Inn from Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa where she served as sales manager for the Western U.S. A long-time resident of Carmel Valley, Petersson also held multiple positions at Pebble Beach Resorts from 2004 to 2013 including sales manager, catering/conference services manager and risk and insurance administrator.
“Ms. Petersson is a valuable asset to the Cypress Inn team,” says co-owner Denny LeVett. “This is a unique and storied property that requires a varied skill set.”
A resident of Seaside, Calif., Petersson resides with her husband, three small children and dachshund, Cooper. She has held board posts at the Monterey County Young Professionals Group (2009-10) and was Vice President for Bay View Academy Community Volunteer Organization (2011-12). She enjoys camping, travel, food, wine and Monterey County’s rich line up of natural assets in her spare time.
