Gus Montesantos new Director of Food & Beverage at Glen Cove Mansion

The I.A.C.C.-certified Glen Cove Mansion Hotel and Conference Center has appointed Gus Montesantos director of food & beverage for the historic property.  Ata Kashanian, vice president and general manager, made the announcement.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Gus to Glen Cove Mansion Hotel and Conference Center,” said Mr. Kashanian. “He brings important food and beverage experience to our hotel, gained at properties in New York City and on Long Island. We look forward to his departmental leadership and active contribution to our executive team.”

Gus Montesantos brings 35 years of hospitality and corporate experience to his new role at Glen Cove Mansion, acquired through positions held in New York City and on Long Island. Most recently he was director of food & beverage for the Doubletree Guest Suites by Hilton Times Square in New York City, where he experienced significant success in enhancing departmental profitability and upgrading the hotel’s food, wine and beverage program. Previous to this, he was director of food & beverage for the landmark Helmsley Park Lane Hotel in Manhattan. 

Mr. Montesantos has previously served as general manager for the Riverbay Seafood Bar & Grill of Williston Park, New York.  Prior to this he held regional responsibilities as area director of food & beverage operations for Field Hotels Associates of East Elmhurst, New York. He began employment with this company as assistant general manager and director of food & beverage for the Holiday Inn Hotel, JFK Airport, and was subsequently promoted to general manager of the company’s Hampton Inn, JFK Airport. Earlier in his career, Mr. Montesantos was the owner and operator of Monte Brothers, Inc., Catering & Night Club in Queens, New York.

Gus Montesantos is a graduate of Pace University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing and Accounting.
