Dominique Colliat appointed Executive VP, HotelServices at Accor

Accor has announced the appointment of Dominique Colliat to Executive Vice President, HotelServices, North & Central America and Caribbean. A 27-year veteran of Accor, Colliat will be responsible for targeted business and development strategies to increase profitability and expand hotel share throughout the region.

Noted Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO of Accor: “I congratulate Dominique on her promotion to Executive Vice President and wish her a bright future. With more than a quarter-century of success at implementing strategic business development and operations initiatives at Accor, she is beyond qualified to fashion business development strategies throughout North and Central America and the Caribbean, as well as to boost our profitability and hotel share throughout the region.”

A graduate of Lyon University with majors in marketing and management and a minor in French literature, Colliat began her career at Accor managing a succession of hotels in the Caribbean, France and Great Britain. In 1998, she departed the company after 20 years to join Club Méditerranée (Club Med) as Director for the Bahamas and Caribbean. Three years later, she was appointed Vice President Operations of Club Med North America, Mexico and the Caribbean to help reposition the resort collection in the upscale travel market.

Colliat returned to Accor in late 2006 to create in-depth business development strategies for repositioning the Sofitel brand, first as Director of Operations France, then for Sofitel Southern Europe and the Maghreb. In 2009, she was promoted to Senior Vice President Operations for Sofitel Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in which she continued to implement global repositioning plans to increase market share. During her tenure, Colliat was the driving force in leading successful business development efforts that included hotel openings in Rabat, Dubai, Bahrain, Mauritius and Vienna. She was also instrumental in establishing the first Sofitel Legend in Europe and the Sofitel Grand Amsterdam.

Colliat received the French Légion d’honneur as well as the silver medal of Tourism by the French government for accomplishments in the hospitality industry. She has also been active in Accor Foundation projects, particularly in Morocco and Algeria where she has supported several local causes focused on childcare and orphanage development programs.
