Aman announces new Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Director – Global Sales

Following Aman’s recent ownership changes, the Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Bovio as Chief Marketing Officer, and the promotion of Carolyn Turnbull to Executive Director – Global Sales.

Lisa Bovio_2Lisa Bovio joins Aman Group from Kerzner International where she most recently held the position of Senior Vice President – International Sales & Marketing. As Aman’s Chief Marketing Officer, she brings a wealth of experience and strategic vision to this vital role that will elevate the future performance of Aman.

Fluent in five languages with an impressive track record in multicultural negotiations, strategy implementation and relationship building, Bovio has built her career in the luxury travel industry in the dynamic, fast-moving and highly results-orientated realm of sales and marketing. Her time with Shangri-La, The Oberoi Group, Goldman Sachs and most recently Kerzner International as Senior Vice President – International Sales & Marketing, has given her invaluable experience which she looks forward to bringing to Aman Group.

Carolyn Turnbull_2Carolyn Turnbull has been appointed Executive Director – Global Sales overseeing the company’s newly established global sales structure that will strengthen the growth of the Group’s portfolio worldwide.

Turnbull has been instrumental in the strategic positioning of Amanresorts within the luxury travel industry over the past nine years. Before joining Aman Group, Carolyn contributed to the growth of leading hotel companies including Hyatt International and Intercontinental through various sales and marketing positions. Her 18 years of hotel experience has inspired her commitment to realising the unique Aman vision.

“We are very positive about the recent acquisition and Aman Group’s newly-appointed leadership,” says Carolyn. “We are confident that our new direction will provide the necessary foundation for the future evolution of the company. Aman is proud of its long-standing, dedicated team, who remain extremely passionate and committed throughout this exciting transition.”

Aman Group CEO Vladislav Doronin and Johan Eliasch, the newly-appointed Chairman, extend their congratulations to Lisa and Carolyn, and look forward to their contribution in realising Aman’s full potential.

The Group also announced that it will relocate its headquarters from Singapore to London to provide a central base better suited to the company’s vision as a global brand. Singapore will remain an important regional office focusing on Aman’s Asia Pacific business, with an additional regional presence in New York to support the company’s growth in North and South America.
