New hotel brand for Alpitour

Italy's largest tour operator, Alpitour, has announced that their hotels division, Alpitour Worldhotels & Resorts, will be rebranded to the name "VOI Hotels".

VOI Hotels which stands for "Vera Ospitalità Italiana" ("Real Italian Hospitality" in English) hopes to become a big Italian brand by offering Italian hospitality at its best through a true Italian concept. The concept is also being offered to individual hotels wanting to join, without rebranding their own name, in a "soft franchise concept" called "Parte di VOI". Hotels joining will profit from Voi's new state-of-the-art IT systems ensuring full connectivity through its new website and all 3rd party channels. Other hotels will be sold off line through VOI's sales- and marketing organization.

VOI Hotels invested a significant amount of money in technology sytems which include a new website and CRS (central reservation system) ensuring interface connections to all electronic distribution systems including Online Travel Agents and Global Distribution Systems. The platform also includes systems such as Yield Management, Reputation Management and Customer Relationship Management.

It is the aim of VOI hotels to become a leading Italian hotel group, through both take overs of management and lease contracts as growing through partnerships are considered.

Focus will be on the Italian market but other European countries will also be under development.

Alpitour, as 100% owner of VOI Hotels, will remain with its Tour Operator division a very important customer, as all resort-hotels are also sold through the huge Alpitour system.
