With 17 sommeliers and three master sommeliers on staff, Bellagio is among the most wine-savvy resorts on The Strip. The hotel-casino now offers the opportunity to share in that knowledge with its new Master Sommelier's Wine Classroom, a series of interactive seminars designed for guests to learn about the world of wine.
The 90-minute seminars will be led by Bellagio Director of Wine and Master Sommelier Jason Smith and guest speakers from among the wine industry's top professionals and will cover topics including regional wines, wine production, food and wine pairings and blind tasting.
"Bellagio's wine program is rooted in the belief that continual education, consistent tasting and hands-on experience are the keys to remaining a leader in the industry," Smith said in a statement. "Offering an empowering learning environment where guests can enjoy interacting with our esteemed wine team is a natural extension of our internal wine program and an important aspect of Bellagio's commitment to excellence."
Classes will be held at Michael Mina restaurant the third Wednesday of every month beginning Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $80 per person per class or $200 for three classes and can be purchased through Bellagio's Epicurean Epicenter website or by calling Bellagio Concierge at 866-406-7117.
