UK hotel offers ‘Cancer Touch Therapy’ treatments

The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa has announced that it is one of the first UK hotels to be trained and accredited in Cancer Touch Therapy, providing specialist spa treatments for cancer patients at the hotel’s The Spa & Bath House.

The fully accredited Cancer Touch Therapy training was launched in May 2016 by wellbeing brand, Made for Life by Spiezia Organics. The course was developed taking advice from trained oncology massage teachers, advisors within the oncology team at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, and Macmillan Cancer Support, to enable spa therapists to offer expert healing massage therapy to those undergoing cancer treatment. Using 100% organic skincare products by Spiezia Organics, treatments include Relax and Rejuvenate: a deeply relaxing back, head and facial treatment combining fluid and soothing massage techniques with rejuvenating products to promote harmony and well-being.

Amanda Barlow, Managing Director of Spiezia Organics and Founder of the Made for Life Foundation, comments: “We have been providing massage and support to people with cancer for 15 years through the Made for Life Foundation days and also Made for Life Spiezia Spa services and have worked to develop a range of treatments.”

Amanda continues: “The Cancer Touch Therapy training course allows spas and therapists to put into practice these treatments and confidently open their doors to anyone going through cancer. All profits will go directly into the Made for Life Foundation to continue to support the complementary services we offer through the charity and extend our promotion of wellbeing for all.”

In addition to the Cancer Touch Therapy course, The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa also recently unveiled brand new state-of-the-art facilities at The Bath House in May 2016. Adding to its Spa offering, The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa’s new Bath House offers world-class facilities in stunning contemporary surroundings. As well as making use of the new facilities, guests can appreciate the professional care from experienced Spa Therapists to ensure the ultimate in relaxation and results-driven treatments.

A range of Cancer Touch Therapy treatments will be available at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa from 1st August 2016.
