WIT returns to Europe, championing Asia travel

WIT EuropeWIT Europe is marching into Amsterdam at Beurs van Berlage on May 18 and waving Asia’s flag high. Catch everyone at Phocuswright EuropeÊwhere they will be out to prove that when it comes to online travel. Asia isn’t just emerging, it’s leading the pack.

Approaching US$140b in 2016, APAC’s online travel market is set to grow at twice the pace of USA and Europe, around 7-9 per cent in the next five years.

Advances in mobile tech are changing the game when it comes to online distribution and APAC is at the forefront. Mobile now makes up 50 per cent of online travel bookings in China, 31 per cent in Japan and 22 per cent in India.

It’s no secret that to win globally, you have to crack the code in Asia. But, there’s a big difference in recognising its potential and knowing how to bank on it.
