Leading online accommodation booking website Hotels.com will be releasing the findings from its latest Hotel Price Index on Tuesday, March 7. The Hotels.com Hotel Price Index is an annual report on hotel prices in major destinations across the world, tracking the movement in prices that people actually paid for their accommodation and providing valuable insight into the reasons behind these changes.
The data is drawn from bookings made on the hundreds of thousands of hotels on the Hotels.com websites worldwide.
The latest Hotels.com HPI looks specifically at:
* Prices paid (in AUD) for hotel rooms globally in 2016 vs. 2015
* The percentage change of 2016 hotel prices from the year prior
* Where Australian travellers got the best and least value for money both locally as well as abroad
