InteriHOTEL inaugural event in Barcelona a success

InteriHOTEL completed it’s inaugural event last Friday. In total, more than 3000 people have visited the marketplace during the three days of the event to see its wide showroom, its IH Talks —or specialized talks— and the networking sessions, with the purpose of establishiinterihotelng contacts and recognising the most recent tendencies and innovations in the contract business space.

The event, that takes place annually in Barcelona, was held in the CCIB (Centro de Convenciones Internacional de Barcelona) for three days—from 23 to the 25th of November—and has gathered more than 150 reference brands, 20 relevant speakers in the hotel and interior design sector and more than 3000 professional visitors, in addition to other guests and official organisation representatives.

Professionals came to visit the large showroom and listened to talks given by prominent names such as Francesc Rifé, Jaime Beriestain Studio, Vincci Hotels, Ilunion Hotels, Fernando García Ochoam the GVA studio from Bogotá (Colombia) and Design Positif from Cancún (México). The first day ended with the official inauguration of the event and the delivery of the “innovation in product” award, given to the exhibiting brand Simon with their switch “Simon 100”.

Visitors also had the opportunity of attending some of the star talks from the IH Talks program:  Lorenzo Castillo and Ramón Fernández from Room Mate Hotels, who spoke on innovative ideas and creative projects. Closing the IH talks in the knowledge area, a master class was given by ELISAVA. In addition to the presentation sessions, and the wide showroom of hotel interior design products, InteriHOTEL had some new spaces created this year.

The Lounge Area, a space curated by RED-AEDE, was one of the places dedicated to Spanish design. As well, the Materials & Tech Area offered innovative materials and technology applied to interior design. Finally, there was the Design Area, a space designed by Lázaro Rosa Violán, and the Experience Area, a space dedicated to unnoticed accessibility.

Other activities, like the Tapas & Contract and the creative photocall at the entrance of the exhibiting space, motivated a point of fun and informal networking that  characterizes InteriHOTEL.

InteriHOTEL 2017 will be held again in the CCIB from the 25 to the 27th October.
