20% of the brands at InteriHOTEL will be international

20% of the brands at InteriHOTEL, the trade fair specialising in hotel interior design held from the 23rd to the 25th of November in Barcelona, will be international. The successful growth of InteriHOTEL over recent years combined with its conference programme and networking sessions has led to very optimistic expectations regarding attendance figures, the visitors all being hotel developers, architects, interior designers or contract professionals.

From the 23rd to the 25th November, InteriHOTEL will bring together nationally and internationally renowned contract professionals at the Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB). More than 150 exhibitors specialising in the contract sector will participate at the event, including Capdell, Corian, Expormim, Fluvia, Gancedo, Gandía Blasco, Grohe, Hi-Macs, Inclass, Jacuzzi, Kendo, Koo International, Porcelanosa and Sancal.

International event

InteriHOTEL has been recognised by the administration as an international event. It is currently the only Spanish event specialising in hotel interior design with an international profile, having become one of the leading European trade fairs in this sector. Companies from Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal representing 20% of participating brands have already confirmed their involvement in the 2016 event, and around 7% of visitors are expected to be foreign. The event will also welcome an international mission involving important design studios and hotel chains with projects in Mexico and the Caribbean region.

Conference programme

The InteriHOTEL conference programme (or IH Talks) will feature the involvement of outstanding professionals, such as the interior designers Francesc Rifé, Lorenzo Castillo and Jaime Beriestáin and the hotel developers Room Mate, Ilunion Hotels and Paradores. More than 30 experts in hotel interior design projects will complete the programme, which will be hosted in the Knowledge Area, a space decorated in collaboration with some of the participating brands and with the lighting group CICAT, who will be responsible for lighting the hall.

New content

This year there will also be three new areas. In the Design Area, the renowned Lázaro Rosa Violán studio will create a spectacular hotel lobby in the centre of the Exhibition Area based on original designs. In turn, the Experience Area will be a space where the visitor may experience at first hand the benefits of design based on unnoticed accessibility criteria for all types of hotel users and especially for people with limited mobility. Finally, the Materials & Tech Area will be a space in which manufacturers of materials with distinguishing technical and technological characteristics applicable to hotel interior design will present their products to architects, internal designers and hotel company engineering/project managers to help them acquire the knowledge and criteria they need to decide which products to incorporate into future projects.

More visitors than in previous years

Having increased the number of visitors by an average 80% in previous years, InteriHOTEL expects to welcome more than 3000 professional visitors in 2016, representing a significant increase over the last occasion. InteriHOTEL’s visitors are expected to represent more than 1000 hotel projects, many of them on an international scale thanks to the event’s profile and the international mission which will be hosted at the event, an activity organised by CENFIM with the support of ACCIÓ (the Catalan Parliament) and the collaboration of CICAT.

You can check the complete list of exhibitors and the programme of activities at the event website (www.interihotel.com), where you can also register free to attend as a visitor.
