“Working together and combining the events will make it easier for the travel and tourism industry to find time in very busy times, however keeping up to speed with developments of new technology trends and consumer behaviour is key to stay competitive, both as an individual, as well as a company,” says Jens Thraenhart, founder of Digital Innovation Asia, and current Executive Director of the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office. “The Greater Mekong Region is rapidly growing, and digital capacity building is crucial for the travel and tourism industry in this part of the world”, he continues.

Topics range from online distribution, reputation management, as well as digital advertising to new emerging areas of social influencer marketing, sharing economy, and China as a source market.

“We will give travel and hospitality companies from big global brands, to small local companies, the opportunity to connect with travel tech companies from digital agencies to mobile app developers and digital media platforms”, says Theodore Koumelis, the CEO of Travel Daily News, the organizer of Digi.travel, which is bringing this successful concept from Europe to Asia. “In a world where companies need to manage budgets and find the right tools to connect with consumers, it can be challenging to find the right digital and technology partners. The Digital Travel Exchange will bridge that gap”, he adds. Sponsorship opportunities for digital and travel tech companies are affordable and still available, and include exhibition space, and appointment setting.

Digital Innovation Asia is presenting the 3rd Annual DIA Awards in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Travel Massive, recognising the most innovative people, and companies, and campaigns in our industry today at a fun party. Nominations are still open and free to submit at www.DIAawards.com. The Awards Party will be hosted on Monday evening, November 16th at the Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel in Bangkok.
