HVS to host Tourism, Hotel Investment & Networking Conference (THINC) Indonesia

Consulting and services organization HVS will host the Tourism, Hotel Investment & Networking Conference (THINC) Indonesia 2014 – which promises to be the region’s premier event for the Hospitality and Tourism industry.

The conference, to be held on September 4 and 5, 2014, at the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort, will focus on Indonesia’s investment and development outlook, and  feature discussions by government officials and industry experts highlighting growth opportunities, tapping unexplored verticals, and addressing some of the critical challenges in the region.

The two-day conference will encompass a captivating line-up of seminars and panels creating immense value for all participants and delegates who shall stand to gain vast knowledge in the areas of experiential learning and productivity enhancement from their regional and international counterparts. DAY 1 will commence with a panel comprising eminent global hospitality leaders sharing their insights on development opportunities for hotels and investment into South East Asia, in a session titled ‘View from the Top’, followed by the ‘Ministers’ Panel’ which will see ministry officials and policymakers bring important issues to the discussion table. Joop Ave, Former Minister of Tourism, Post & Telecommunications, Republic of Indonesia, will be honored with the posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award – a special tribute to commemorate his outstanding lifelong contribution to the tourism industry of the nation. An exciting brainstorming session – ‘Creating Synergies with the Local Stakeholder’, is also lined-up on DAY 1, wherein panelists will discuss ways for hotel developers to win the confidence of the local community.

DAY 2 will see a number of concurrent sessions being held with topics of varying interest. One of these is a panel discussion titled ‘The Sun, Beach and Sand’ which will focus on Bali as a comparative case study with other emerging and established hot spots and destinations such as Phuket, Chiang mai, Lombok, Sri Lanka, among others. In addition, the conference will see a host of critical issues such as Investment, Hotel and Mixed-Use Development, Management Contracts and Industry Outlook being discussed and debated.
