Taj Hotels collaborate with TISS to launch hospitality course

Tata Institute Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris has collaborated with School of Vocational Education, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) to offer Golden Threshold ProgrammeÊto aspirants who want to work in the hospitality industry. The main reason for starting this new course is to inculcate job-specific skills in order to make them more employable.

Any aspirant who has cleared his/her Class 12 or is about to complete Class 12 needs to send his/her application form at GTP@Tajhotels.com. The application form needs to be accompanied with the aspirant’s name, school, Class 10 results, hobbies as well as extracurricular activities. Aspirants in the age group of 17 to 24 years are eligible to enroll for the hospitality training programme.

Interested students need to submit their application form at Taj Hotels email ID mentioned above. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview round.

Application process for the Golden Threshold course would take place in June and classes would commence in July. Ê

Taj & TISS Golden Threshold ProgrammeÊDetails

Classes for this new hospitality programme will be conducted at TISS campus and the on-the-job training will be offered at Taj Hotels in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

On successful completion of one year of the course, candidates will receive a Diploma whereas a higher diploma will be given on completion of two years of the programme. Aspirants who complete three years of the course would get Bachelor of Vocation (BVoc) in Hotel Management degree. The BVoc degree offered on completion of three years of the course is approved by MHRD, Government of India, University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
