The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM), one of the world’s leading hospitality business management schools and an integral part of the global luxury hotel company, Jumeirah Group, has signed an agreement with the Malta Institute of Tourism Studies. The objective of this memorandum of understanding is to provide vocational, degree and post graduate programmes for thousands of students.
Gerald Lawless, Head of Tourism and Hospitality, Dubai Holding and Chancellor of the EAHM visited Malta to meet with His Excellency Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta, to see the site of the new college, and to sign the agreement.
In relation to this new project, Gerald Lawless stated: “EAHM has established its reputation over the last 15 years as one of the best hotel schools in the world, and has very much become a centre of excellence in university-level education for aspiring professionals in the hospitality industry. We are honoured to have been chosen by the Government of Malta to work with the Institute of Tourism Studies.” He also said that he looks forward to welcoming Maltese future students to the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management and the Malta Institute of Tourism Studies to further their studies either with a bachelor degree or an MBA.
To assist with the establishment of this new collaboration, EAHM will provide the curricula, the training of faculty and teachers, the implementation of quality assurance, and the delivery of its MBA in International Hospitality Management.
