Free Flow Wines pioneers wine on tap

Premium Wine on tap is now offered at more than 2,000 restaurants in the United States thanks to Free Flow Wines, a pioneer of wine on tap.

Restaurants including Caesar's Palace Las Vegas, Front Burner Brands, Pebble Beach Resorts, PF Chang's, Savor, Michael Mina's PUB 1842 at the MGM Grand, and TWO Urban Licks, have adopted wine on tap as a way to serve wine by the glass. High-volume airport establishments like SF Uncork'd and Lark Creek Grill, both at San Francisco International Airport, have also adopted wine on tap in Free Flow kegs.

"At Pebble Beach Resorts, many guests are visiting us for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It's all the more reason to make sure our guests enjoy the best tasting, highest quality wines at our numerous dining locations," Wendy Heilmann, Director of Wine & Spirits, Pebble Beach Resorts. "Wine on tap guarantees that the wines we serve are fresh from the first glass to the last."

"Our secret sauce is our Free Flow stainless steel kegs," said Dan Donahoe, Co-Founder of Free Flow Wines. "Our kegs keep wine fresher longer and restaurants are adopting premium wine on tap because it's a better way to serve wine by the glass."

Free Flow Wines' kegging and logistics services have allowed more than 350 premium wines to be available on tap at more than 2,000 restaurants, hotels, airports, sports, and entertainment venues nationwide. The Free Flow Wines kegging equipment was custom built for placing fine wine safely into kegs and their state-of-the-art facility has been vetted by the wine industry's most sophisticated quality control teams. Premium wine in Free Flow kegs never sees oxygen so it's guaranteed fresh and there is never wasted wine or spoilage.

"The growth of wine on tap has been exceptional over the past year," said Jordan Kivelstadt, Co-Founder and CEO of Free Flow Wines. "In 2013 we saw a 300% increase in the number of wine taps and in the expansion at national chains and top restaurants. It not only allows restaurants to serve a better glass of wine, but it's great for the environment as it enables them to eliminate their trash."

Free Flow Wines uses 100% stainless steel kegs to allow the wine and hospitality industries to move away from bottles and disposable packages to a sustainable, environmentally friendly way of serving wine. In addition to the reduction in emissions, a Free Flow Wines keg holds the equivalent of 26 wine bottles and each keg that goes into distribution will save 2,340 lbs. of trash from the landfill over its lifetime.
