Hampton Hotels has announced the opening of its 2,000th hotel, Hampton Inn & Suites Bellevue Downtown-Seattle. The 128-room hotel, owned by Palmetto Hospitality and managed by OTO Development, will mark the occasion with a special opening celebration on Thursday, December 11.
“We’re thrilled to reach this important milestone of 2,000 hotels worldwide, representing how far Hampton has come over the course of 30 years and setting the stage for an even more impressive year ahead,” said Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton brand management, Hilton Worldwide. “Following this exciting opening in Bellevue, which has become a major tech and business hub, we are continuing the momentum into 2015 and beyond with nearly 400 hotels and 40,000 rooms in the pipeline globally.”
The five-story Hampton Inn & Suites Bellevue Downtown-Seattle is only minutes from Seattle and 20 minutes from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Situated across Lake Washington and within walking distance of the hotel, guests can explore miles of nature trails, public parks and beaches. Business travelers visiting the area’s booming technology industry can enjoy convenient access to the Maydenbauer Convention Center and many businesses including Microsoft, T-Mobile and Verizon. Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, fitness center, business center and complimentary parking.
“We are very excited to bring the Hampton brand to Bellevue, a thriving business community and Seattle’s largest suburb,” said Corry Oakes, CEO and founder, OTO Development. “Both business and leisure travelers will enjoy our new hotel’s close proximity to the many businesses, restaurants and shopping in downtown Bellevue.”
Hampton Inn & Suites Bellevue Downtown-Seattle joins the now 2,000 Hampton hotels worldwide in offering warm surroundings, thoughtful service, the latest technology and of course, the brand’s signature culture of “Hamptonality,” defined as the friendly, authentic, caring and thoughtful way Hampton’s team members go about making each guest experience memorable.
Throughout the brand’s global expansion, Hampton Hotels has remained focused on finding innovative ways to provide thoughtful products and services that will enhance the guest experience, while providing value to owners. Over the past 30 years Hampton has introduced many industry-defining offerings such as the first complimentary hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi, a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and the new Hampton TREATS, a focused service food and beverage concept. These key factors, among others, have led to Hampton’s steadfast growth to the 2,000th hotel milestone.
The opening of Hampton’s 2,000th hotel, Hampton Inn & Suites Bellevue Downtown-Seattle, will be celebrated on December 11, 2014 with an invitation-only cocktail reception. The program will include remarks by Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton brand management, Hilton Worldwide, and Jim Holthouser, executive vice president, global brands, Hilton Worldwide, and will culminate with a special surprise finale. In honor of the occasion, Hampton is also making a contribution to the local community by providing meals to those in need in collaboration with Food Lifeline, a member of Feeding America network.
