Carlson Rezidor had announced the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cairo Nasr City in Egypt. The property featuring 300 rooms is scheduled to open in Q1 2016. It is Carlson Rezidor’s second Radisson Blu hotel in Cairo.
“We are delighted to further strengthen our presence in the key market of Cairo. Egypt has recovered from the turmoil of the past years and opens new, exciting business opportunities. We want to support this emerging country and its travel & tourism sector together with our partners in the region”, said Wolfgang M. Neumann, President & CEO of Rezidor. All across Egypt, the group now operates and develops 7 hotels with more than 2,800 rooms, and aims to further extend its network.
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Cairo Nasr City is owned by Genena Group, one of the leading developers within the hospitality, commercial and industrial fields in Egypt. The group’s portfolio includes key projects such as Genena Mall (with 300 stores one of the most important commercial centres in Cairo), Genena City Sharm El Sheikh and All Foods Co.
The new Radisson Blu property will be built adjacent to Genena Mall and comprise 300 rooms, an all-day-dining restaurant, a lounge bar, a fitness area, a spa, a roof top swimming pool with sky bar and a meetings & events area including a ballroom. The property will be located in Nasr City, the largest district of Cairo, and will offer easy access to all key areas of the city. Strongly influenced by the lifestyle of the Gulf region, Nasr City symbolises Cairo’s new and wealthy suburban culture.
