Philippe Larrieu named Hotel Manager at Turnberry Isle Miami

Philippe Larrieu_1Turnberry Isle Miami, the Aventura resort, is pleased to announce the appointment of Philippe Larrieu as Hotel Manager. A seasoned hospitality leader, Larrieu has over 30 years of experience in the industry working with world renowned brands such as the Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts and The Peninsula Hotel. Larrieu’s career has taken him around the world, including hotel leadership positions in California, The West Indies, Hawaii, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Houston, Texas.

In his new role, Larrieu will provide leadership and management for all operational resort personnel and coordinate the resort’s day-to-day operations. Additionally, he will represent the resort among civic, business and industry leaders as well as local government officials.

Prior to joining Turnberry Isle Miami, Larrieu worked at multiple properties around the world within the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts portfolio for twenty years, beginning in the food & beverage sector and working up to hotel manager. His most recent positions were as Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston, Texas and Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, Malaysia. Larrieu has also managed Four Seasons properties in Jakarta, Indonesia; Silicon Valley, California; Exuma, Bahamas; Hualalai, Hawaii; Nevis, West Indies and Beverly Hills, California.

A native of Biarritz, France, Larrieu attended the prestigious Ecole Hoteliere Talence in Bordeaux. He launched his career in the hospitality industry with Club Mediterranee, working in numerous positions within multiple hotels in Europe, Asia and Mexico. Larrieu also assisted in opening The Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, California where he honed in on his management skills before joining the Four Seasons.

Larrieu is joined in Miami by his wife and two young sons, Maxime and Jacques. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish. During his free time, Larrieu enjoys being with his family, cooking, traveling and scuba diving as he is also a certified PADI scuba dive instructor.
