Benchmark Hospitality International has named David Batson, CPA, controller for Stonewall Resort, a Benchmark Resort located in Roanoke, West Virginia. Mike Hager, Benchmark’s general manager at the property, made the announcement.
“It is with pleasure that I welcome David to Benchmark Hospitality at Stonewall Resort,” said Mr. Hager. “He brings extensive financial management experience to our resort, gained at multiple properties within our industry.”
For nearly 20 years, David Batson has held leadership positions for a variety of resorts within the United States. He was previously vice president of finance for Sugarloaf Mountain Corp.- in Carrabassett, Maine, overseeing the financial operations of the large property consisting of ski, golf, lodging and condominium operations. Earlier in his hospitality career, Mr. Batson worked for resort properties in Vermont and Michigan. He began his accounting career as a financial analyst for Federal Kemper Life.
A graduate of Southern Illinois University, David Batson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in communications. He is relocating to West Virginia.
