Blue Mountains Intl Hotel Management School opens consulting division

Blue Mountains Hospitality ConsultingAustralia’s leading hotel management school, Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) has branched out into providing education and training programs to hospitality and tourism businesses through a new consulting division.

Blue Mountains Hospitality Consulting (BMHC) director of consulting Randall Walker said the new division represented an exciting extension to the range of quality services the school already delivered to the hospitality & tourism industry.

“Our purpose is to meet the business needs of the hospitality and tourism industry and develop best practice training and business solutions by adding value to a business’s bottom line. Effective training must deliver “blended learning”, a combination of online or digital and face to face teaching with critical simulation and role play to achieve change outcomes.”

BMIHMS was awarded the 2013 Australian Tourism Awards top honour for Tourism Education & Training. With more than 15 years hospitality and tourism consulting experience, including industry chairman and director positions, Mr Walker said establishing a consulting division providing further formal training and accreditation for industry was “perhaps inevitable’’ for the school and was in response to industry requests.
