trivago launches in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand

trivago, the global hotel price search and comparison website, has launched new local platforms in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

trivago Indonesia (www.trivago.co.id), trivago Malaysia (www.trivago.com.my), and trivago Thailand (www.trivago.co.th) are available in local languages and in English. This expansion into Southeast Asia, following trivago Singapore’s launch last year, brings us to a total of 47 global markets in 28 languages.

Robin Harries, trivago’s Head of APAC, sees this further headway into Asia, where trivago now operates in ten countries, inevitable. “The potential of almost 200 million Southeast Asian Internet users cannot be ignored. We see interesting but also challenging markets with high growth rates in the travel sector and are keen to roll out our activities over there.”

trivago is the world’s largest online hotel search site, comparing rates from over 700,000 hotels on over 150 booking sites worldwide at no cost to users. Over 45 million visitors per month find their ideal hotel by using trivago’s various filters and in turn save an average of 35% per booking. trivago integrates over  82 million hotel reviews and 14 million photos in order to make finding the perfect hotel easier for users.
