Qliq Damansara Hotel welcomes General Manager Bennet Chang

As its January 2015 opening approaches, Vive Hospitality has called upon the expert leadership of Mr Bennet Chang to serve as General Manager for the avant-garde Qliq Damansara, a new hotel in Petaling Jaya conceptualised and managed by Vive Hospitality for ‘Generation Next’ travellers with Qliq-essential experiences. Mr Chang, who will officially join Qliq Damansara in October 2014, will be responsible for running the quirky-styled hotel and overall day-to-day operations.

Bennet Chang has held various senior management positions with major international hotels chains, including The Regent Kuala Lumpur, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts Malaysia, Shangri-la Kuala Lumpur, Eastern & Oriental Hotel, Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur, Meritus Hotels & Resorts (Marina Mandarin Singapore and Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur, formerly managed by Meritus) and Swiss-Belhotel International.

His most recent assignment was as General Manager with Swiss-Belhotel International Hotels & Resorts where he was entrusted to ensure strict compliance of standards set by Swiss-Belhotel International in their properties in Kuala Lumpur, Kuta (Bali) and Samarinda (East Kalimantan). His responsibilities also included hotel rebranding, renovation, manning reengineering and Sales & Marketing, including Ecommerce and Yield Management.

A graduate of the Hotel Institute of Montreux (HIM) Switzerland, Chang holds a Swiss Hotel Management Diploma and an American Hotel & Motel Association (AHMA) Hotel Management Diploma with specialization in Marketing & Sales Management, Accounting & Financial Management and Food & Beverage Management.
