David Shepherd appointed General Manager of Hilton Atlanta Airport

Hilton Worldwide announced today the appointment of David Shepherd as general manager of Hilton Atlanta Airport, a 507-room airport property just five minutes from the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and less than ten miles from downtown Atlanta.

Shepherd began his hospitality career in 1980 with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in the rooms division, holding several positions of increasing responsibility with the company in multiple locations throughout the United States and Canada.

He was the director of operations for the Westin William Penn Hotel, Pittsburgh until 2001 overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operation for this historic downtown landmark hotel. From 2001 to 2005, he worked for Omni Hotels where he held management positions in Atlanta, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Charlotte and Detroit.  In 2005, he joined Luxury Resort & Hotels (LXR) in Secaucus, New Jersey as general manager of the Wyndham Secaucus before taking on the leadership in Sanibel at Sundial Beach and Golf Resort; The Sanibel Collection.  From 2010 until April, Shepherd led the team at the 321-room Embassy Suites at Centennial Olympic Park, Atlanta, Georgia.
