Langham Place, Bali to open in 2017

Pilar Prambanan Investama) to manage the Langham Place resort in Bali, Indonesia, that is scheduled to open in 2017. Dramatically perched atop a cliff on the island’s famed Ungasan-Uluwatu area in the island’s southern peninsula, this 173-room resort marks the Hong Kong-based hotel company’s first luxury resort in Asia under its Langham Hotels & Resorts collection.

Natalia Irena Tee, president director of PT Pilar Prambanan Investama, affirms, “By virtue of its location, the land where the resort sits is truly a beauty of nature; and by partnering with Langham Hospitality Group, we are confident Langham Place, Bali will be a luxurious resort and a gem in Bali.”

With interiors designed by Budi Pradono Architects, Langham Place, Bali features a prime location overlooking the Indian Ocean. All 173 rooms, suites and villas ranging from 50 to 276 square metres (538 – 2971 square feet) will have outdoor terraces where guests can take advantage of Bali’s year-round tropical climate and enjoy the panoramic ocean views. A leisurely seven-minute stroll away from the resort is the pristine Pandawa beach that is accessible to guests. For those who seek a private haven within the resort, all 56 villas and suites will each have their own private plunge pools.

An ideal destination for weddings and events, Langham Place, Bali will have its own private wedding chapel exclusively for guests and local residents. Other special occasions may be held at the exclusive bridal room, a 400-square meter (4306 square feet) outdoor event lawn and two ballrooms that are up to 500 square metres (5382 square feet) in size.

For an unrivalled retreat of relaxation, the group’s signature award-winning Chuan Spa will showcase treatment rooms, a whirlpool, as well as therapies based on the sound principles of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Catering to family holiday makers, there is a dedicated pool and deck, club and an outdoor playground area just for children.

There will be restaurants to suit all tastes and occasions at the resort. Guests may choose from the all-day dining restaurant, The Place, which offers both indoor and terrace seating, the roof top bar where guests can wind down and relax with concoctions by the bar’s creative mixologists to the resort’s destination restaurant, the Beach Club.

As one of the most popular leisure destinations in the world with an ancient, multi-faceted heritage, visitors to Bali may look forward to exploring the island’s volcanic lakes, rice terraces, olden temples and rich Balinese culture.
