In a fantastic way to round off their degree course, the top level undergraduates at the Edge Hotel School visited The Ritz in London for a grand tour.
Rosii Lata, who recently completed her degree in hotel management explains, “We were greeted by Nick, the assistant F&B manager who embarked in an impressive tour around the public areas and the kitchens.”
“He shared his amazing wealth of knowledge of this wonderful hotel and its history. The tour began in the Long gallery which led to the Great Hall. Along the gallery we explored the Palm Court which serves the renowned afternoon tea to up to 400 people every day.”
“Nick also shared his career journey which inspired us to greater possibilities within the industry. We were shown some of the private rooms including the one where the Countess of Wessex had dined the night before.”
“We were astonished by the decor, beautiful art work covering the walls and stunning candelabras, all helping to create the exquisite atmosphere,”
“Finally we were shown to the main kitchen and its operation, which was impeccably clean and organised. The tour of the Ritz was insightful. The kitchen operation was impressive as the chefs all specialised in a specific element of service.”
