Golf course visualisation studio Harris Kalinka has created stunning animations for 10 courses worldwide so far in 2016 – and its new show-reel shows off its work with many of the biggest names in golf course architecture.
Designers whose courses feature in the 2016 show-reel include Greg Norman, Ernie Els, Tiger Woods, Faldo Design, Thomson Perrett & Lobb, Jackson Kahn, International Design Group, and Beau Welling Design.
Golf Consultants Association (GCA) member Andrew Harris, a director with Harris Kalinka – which has offices in the UK, Latvia and China – believes that while individual visualisations are a great aid to marketing venues and destinations, the new video, which is available to view online, should act in a similar way for both his company and the GCA.
Harris explained: “This year’s showcase features courses in Pakistan, Singapore, China, Nigeria, Mexico and the USA, which illustrates a good mix of course styles. We’ve completed more than 300 projects in 29 countries now and have been fortunate to work alongside many of the world’s leading golf course architects
“We should really say ‘thank you’ to the golf course architects, because without their designs there would be no animations and more importantly, no golf courses.”
Harris Kalinka’s animations are typically used for marketing in order to raise investment, attract members, visitors, tourism or simply to spread the word. Most of the company’s work is on new course designs, though it also works alongside architects and other GCA members on renovations and redesigns.
It is currently working on projects in California, Vietnam, the UK and Greece, and recently completed an animation for the Pacific Links National Golf Course – Tiger Woods’ first design in China, just outside Beijing.
Now in its 11th year of trading, Harris Kalinka’s team has qualifications and backgrounds in architecture, programming, interior design, graphic design and animation.
The GCA, formed in 1999, is unique in the UK in its ability to make available a team of highly-respected and experienced golf industry professionals to see any phase of a project through from conception to end.
GCA members can offer specialist skills in any number of aspects of golf operations, including buying, selling and financing golf developments; golf marketing and media relations; designing and building golf courses and driving ranges; environmental golf development; golf market research; and much more.
