David Marcus appointed ABC Global Services as VP, Business Development and Client Solutions

ABC Global ServicesABC Global Services is pleased to announce the appointment of David Marcus as Vice President, Business Development and Client Solutions. In his role, Marcus will lead ABC’s account development team in building relationships with travel agencies, agency consortia and corporate travel departments. He also will work closely with ABC’s supplier team to optimize agency performance across ABC’s roster of supplier partners as well as develop new and emerging solutions alongside ABC’s leadership team.

“We welcome David to ABC, where he will both expand and deepen our current relationships with vital industry partners and help us develop new relationships,” ABC Global Services CEO Eric Altschul said. “His vast experience in both cultivating relationships and fostering innovation will ensure ABC continues to be the leading source for hotel program services and other needs of travel professionals around the world.”

Marcus brings more than 20 years of travel industry experience to ABC. He joins ABC Global Services from American Express Global Business Travel, where he has had a variety of roles in consulting and supplier relations. Since 2013, he served as a director in American Express GBT’s consulting group. Among his accomplishments at American Express GBT, Marcus was a key player in developing and evolving the travel management company’s leveraged travel sourcing model for private equity clients. He also led development of industry vertical and air volume benchmarking tools. In addition, he has produced industry-leading research at American Express GBT, and began his career in the industry as an editor at Business Travel News.
