Hotel EdenIn line with Dorchester Collection’s continuous investment in taking the luxury experience to new levels, April 1, 2017 sees the much anticipated reopening and unveiling of Hotel Eden, the company’s iconic property in Rome, following an extensive 18-month restoration.

World-renowned architect and interior designers Bruno Moinard and Claire Betaille of 4BIÊand AssociŽs, together with Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku from Jouin Manku, were commissioned to oversee the renovation, comprising 98 spacious guestrooms and suites, a dynamic food and drink concept and the hotel’s first urban spa and blow-dry bar.

ÒWe are delighted to reopen Hotel Eden and lead it into its next chapter,” said Luca Virgilio, General Manager of Hotel Eden.Ê”We look forward to welcoming guests and offering them the most memorable experience in a timeless destination.Ó

Located in the heart of the old city of Rome, a short stroll from the legendary Spanish Steps and picturesque Villa Borghese, Hotel Eden will provide guests with a true Roman experience, enhanced by a breathtaking panorama across the Eternal City. Formerly offering 121 rooms, the hotel’s reduced room and suites count ensures more expansive spaces for guests to relax. Mr Moinard and Ms Betaille, who were entrusted with the restoration of the lobby, rooms, suites and meeting rooms, designed the spaces to accentuate the beauty of natural light, emphasised further by the high ceilings and tall windows framing Rome’s skyline. Hotel Eden’s top suite, the Bellavista Penthouse Suite, offers unrivalled views of Rome with floor-to-ceiling windows which can be fully opened.

Spearheaded by award-winning executive chef Fabio Ciervo, Hotel Eden’s food and beverage offering has been carefully crafted to harmonise exceptional food with a healthy lifestyle. The hotel’s fine-dining restaurant, La Terrazza, is located on the top floor and offers guests views across Rome with an innovative Mediterranean menu using high quality, fresh and seasonal produce. Jouin Manku, responsible for the redesign of the restaurants and spa, draws on traditional Italian craftsmanship as inspiration for their design with a fresco glass wall taking centre stage.

Offering all day dining, Il Giardino RistoranteÊand Bar is an urban retreat from the city’s crowds. Playing on the natural assets of the hotel’s stunning views, Jouin Manku has designed a friendly atmosphere with an abstract Ôvertical garden’. Il Giardino RistoranteÊand Bar offers an array of light, healthy choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, alongside a selection of pasta, pizza and cicchetti. There are creative cocktails and signature wines in the bar, as well as a children’s menu and large sharing platters for groups. For guests wishing to inject some mystery and romance, La Libreria plays hosts to a Ôsecret bar’ providing classic and innovative cocktails during aperitif time.

Historically a popular choice for meetings, conferences and events, Hotel Eden’s three fully refurbished and equipped meetings rooms have been enhanced to cater to various group sizes and events.

New to the hotel is the Eden Spa, offering a range of holistic wellness experiences and therapies from Sonya Dakar and Officina Profumo Ð Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. The new urban spa features three suites and a unique blow-dry bar, as well as a manicure and pedicure suite.

Throughout the restoration, each designer has taken special care in preserving the spirit of the property. Guests will feel at home with the same dedicated team who ran the hotel prior to its temporary closure in 2015, offering the familiar, ultimate quality service.
