Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott is slated to open here this week, with a new public space and guestroom design. Located at 1515 Wilmington Drive, the 90-room Fairfield Inn and Suites Tacoma DuPont will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Northwest Lodgings LLC and managed by InnSight Hotel Management Group of Springfield.
Design elements include an updated exterior with a signature tower, a curved porte-cochere and a glass entrance. Once inside, the open public space has natural light and views throughout the lobby to connect the indoors with the outdoors. There is also a natural color palette of green, blue and orange.
In the lobby’s living area, the focal points include a natural stone hearth, organic-shaped sofa and lounge chair. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the 24/7 Corner Market.
Inspired by nature, the rooms and suites feature organic patterns and colors, blending wood tones with bright pops of color. The in-room work area is outfitted with an ergonomic chair, mobile desk, task lighting and electrical outlets. There is also a couch, refrigerator, coffeemaker and microwave in the space.
Amenities will include an indoor swimming pool, exercise room, valet laundry service, complimentary Wi-Fi and fax and copy services. Complimentary breakfast will also be available. There is also 475 sq. ft. of space to accommodate functions of up to 40 people.
