Casablanca is the business centre of Morocco and one of the nation’s most cosmopolitan cities. This is the reason why the Barceló Hotel Group set its sights on the city when it added its first Moroccan establishment in 2006: the Barceló Casablanca. Now, 10 years later, it has returned to announce the agreement with the Tikida Group, which is made up of the Bennabes and Marrache families, to establish a joint venture that will manage the property and the renovation of the centrally located Rivoli hotel.
The aim is to begin operations as of 2018, after completing the ambitious renovation project to transform the property into a 5-star hotel, which will be the Majorcan group’s first in the kingdom of Morocco and also one of the best in the city within this category.
The hotel, which will undergo a €19 million renovation, has 206 rooms as well as a fantastic location along the renowned Boulevard D’Anfa, the city’s main avenue. The modern facilities will include two select restaurants, a bar, pool, spa, fitness area, parking and seven meeting rooms for hosting the important events that take place in Casablanca on a regular basis.
