The other Mercure in Shanghai, the Mercure Shanghai Royalton, was the first hotel to be directly managed by Yagao Meihua Hotel Management Co, Ltd in Shanghai. Huazhu’s and Accor’s booking systems have been fully integrated, allowing their members to enjoy benefits and to be able to make reservations on either platform. By connecting their loyalty program members are sharing 75 million high-quality members, expanding the scope of rights and benefits for existing members and allow exchanging points on either platform.

Mr. Sun Wu, Executive Vice President and CEO of Upscale Brands Unit at Huazhu Hotels Group, mentioned: there are four mid- and upscale brands which are managed by Yagao Meihua mainly focusing on first- and second-tier cities as well as major business centers. Shanghai has become the main market for Huazhu’s expansion in the mid- and upscale hotel market. Among the more than 30 Mercure projects for which the company has signed contracts, 10 are located in Shanghai. The company plans to establish a steady presence in several first- and second-tier cities, then move into a second stage of growth by expanding into third-tier cities.

As the hotel is adjacent to Shanghai Metro Line 10, it takes only 10 minutes to Shanghai Zoo and 17 minutes to the National Exhibition and Convention Center by subway. The superb location provides easy access to many of the nearby scenic spots.
