“Guests at Chateau on the Park – Christchurch, a DoubleTree by Hilton can look forward to experiencing the brand’s signature service in this tranquil, resort-like setting,” said Dianna Vaughan, senior vice president and global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “We know that the little things mean everything when it comes to a rewarding travel experience – so, we start by welcoming each guest with a warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in and continue to provide the special comforts and acts of kindness throughout every aspect of their stay.”

Paul Hutton, vice president, operations, Australasia, said, “Christchurch’s strong tourism market was the key driver for bringing the brand into the city. We are especially proud for the brand to be represented in the re-emerging city of Christchurch – an important hub for both business travellers and leisure tourism in New Zealand.”

“Having DoubleTree by Hilton in Christchurch will signal to prospective visitors that Christchurch is a destination, not just a gateway to the rest of the South Island,” says Caroline Blanchfield, tourism manager, Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism. “Christchurch’s tourism numbers are constantly increasing therefore, it’s an ideal time for a well-known, global brand like DoubleTree by Hilton to arrive in the city.”
